Andrey Elinson headed A1Andrey Elinson has been appointed to the post of A1 Managing Partner. Previously he held the position of the Director of Asset Management of CTF.
"In course of our cooperation Andrey has proved as a strong and exacting manager successfully implementing his skills and competences within the Alfa Group business. A1 comes to a new stage of development where Andrey’s experience and knowledge will significantly contribute to the company", said Mikhail Fridman, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group Consortium.
Andrey Tyasto who held the post of acting president at A1 Investment company leaves the company to head his own projects.
"Andrey has been entrusted with a number of specific tasks concerning the improvement of the company’s assets quality and strengthening of the investment block which he has successfully completed. We are grateful to Andrey for the work done", noted German Khan, a Member of the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group Consortium.
A1 changes work model and is transformed into partnership which will be managed by Andrey Elinson. Within the new model partners of A1 will have not only an opportunity to invest in projects which the company deals with in the market of special situations but will be able to make investment decisions more quickly and independently as well.
"We see new opportunities in the current economic conditions. We will not only be focused on protection of the minority shareholders rights, but we will look for other fields of work within special situations, in particular, we have positive experience of work with non-core bank assets. I am sure that the new model will allow A1 not only to keep leader positions in the market, but to expand a range of investment services provided by us", - said Andrey Elinson.
A1 is one of the leading investment businesses in Russia and the CIS. It focuses on investments in companies facing financial difficulties and engaged in corporate conflicts. Alfa-Bank (Russia), TNK, VimpelCom, Perekrestok (part of X5 Retail Group) and Rosvodokanal Group were originally A1 projects that later became strategic businesses for Alfa Group as well as core companies for the wider Russian economy.
